What you will do

• Perform quality functions including nonconformance resolution, first article inspection, root cause analysis, and statistical process control.
• Collaborate with design teams to develop drawing standards, GD&T, and inspection plans for electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Develop and maintain Quality Management System (QMS) command media for hardware design, build, and test.
• Execute process validation for new manufacturing processes in coordination with production engineering.
• Monitor product yield and in-process inspection results to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Enforce factory standards regarding ESD handling, tool calibration, and cleanliness.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a science or engineering discipline.
• 6+ years of experience in quality or manufacturing engineering (or 3+ with an MS/PhD).
• Experience with electronics troubleshooting, inspection techniques, and basic GD&T principles.
• Proficiency with CAD, PLM, or ERP systems such as Solidworks, Altium, and Arena.
• Basic proficiency in Python or SQL for data analysis.
• Practical experience with PFMEA, design of experiments (DOE), and statistical process control (SPC).

Nice to have

• Knowledge of spaceflight hardware design, standards, and manufacturing limitations.
• Experience leading production containments for supplier or in-house manufacturing defects.
• Strong SQL and Python skills for managing large datasets and creating dashboards/reports.
