What you will do

• Lead a multidisciplinary engineering organization of approximately 18 team members.
• Serve as the final technical authority for TRL and tollgate decisions.
• Drive the full lifecycle of product development from initial concept through production transition.
• Oversee prototype lab and pilot plant operations to ensure technical readiness.
• Represent the NPD organization in leadership meetings and act as the primary customer-facing technical leader.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and regulatory compliance regarding energetic materials.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Experience in energetics, propellants, munitions, or adjacent industries.
• Proven track record of leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and other leaders.
• Ability to evaluate complex design outputs and ensure compliance.
• US citizenship is required due to U.S. Government contractual requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with initiators, detonators, or CAD/PAD systems.
• Familiarity with MIL-STD and explosive safety regulations.
• Background in the aerospace or defense sectors.
• Lean / Six Sigma certification or experience.
