What you will do

• Develop capital cost estimates for heavy civil and marine type projects.
• Review design documents, specifications, and drawings to assess risk and cost impacts.
• Prepare estimates by developing project work breakdown structures and calculating complete scope of work take-offs.
• Review and validate contractor proposals and change orders across various procurement types.
• Interface with external clients to present capital cost estimates.
• Assist contracts staff with statements of work for subcontractors and vendors.

Requirements

• 10-15 years of estimating and construction experience.
• US Citizenship.
• Proficiency in MS Office products and estimating software.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• Experience with MII (MCACES 2nd generation) or HCSS Heavy Bid estimating software.
• Alternative delivery procurement experience.
• Certifications such as CPE, CEP, CCP, PMP, or CCM.
• Strong understanding of the relationship between cost, risk, and schedule.
