What you will do

• Assemble cutting tools and position tool-holders in machine spindles and tool changer magazines.
• Manually program CNC controllers and manipulate machine controls to set up and operate workpieces.
• Perform tool changes and offsets to keep parts within specification and compensate for wear.
• Interpret ISO blueprints and incorporate them into part programs.
• Verify workpiece conformance using measurement tools like micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators.
• Coordinate with supervisors and co-workers across shifts to ensure operational continuity and safety.

Requirements

• High School, Trade School graduate, or G.E.D.
• Work authorization in the United States without employer sponsorship is mandatory.
• At least 6 months of experience working with CNC machines in optical fabrication.
• Intermediate mathematical skills, including geometry and trigonometry.
• Familiarity with Windows 10, MS Office, and SAP.
• Ability to work in a clean room environment and a compressed 12-hour shift schedule.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in machining from a vocational trade.
• Experience with DMG, Hurco, and Siemens control systems.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing facility or vocational certification.
