CNC Machinist (CNC)

Location: Stafford Springs, Connecticut, United States; onsite, 2nd shift

What you will do

• Program and operate 3- and 4-axis CNC milling machines.
• Operate additional equipment, including laser drills, scopes, bevels, ovens, and routing machines.
• Work with engineers and technicians to troubleshoot minor mechanical malfunctions and support equipment maintenance.
• Meet daily production and quality requirements by following dispatch lists, ISO procedures, material-handling processes, and material review board procedures.
• Mentor less experienced operators and cross-train across department operations.
• Follow PPE, housekeeping, safety, and export-control procedures.

Requirements

• Prior CNC training is required.
• Ability to program in FANUC machine language and experience with HAAS controllers.
• Ability to create simple conversational-control programs for a 3-axis vertical milling machine.
• Knowledge of calipers, micrometers, and blueprint reading; sheet-metal fabrication ability is preferred.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends when necessary and to become certified across department operations.
• Access to ITAR-controlled products and technical data is restricted to US citizens and US permanent residents; applicable export-control procedures must be followed.

Nice to have

• Two to four years of PCB manufacturing experience.
• Experience with sheet-metal fabrication.
