What you will do

• Set up, program, and operate CNC Swiss-style lathes to produce prototypes and custom instruments.
• Use CNC and manual mills, lathes, and EDM equipment to fabricate models, prototypes, test parts, and low-volume instruments and implants.
• Support product development from concept and prototyping through testing, design verification, validation, manufacturing, and product introduction.
• Train and mentor new hires in machining processes, equipment operation, and departmental procedures.
• Contribute to design meetings, brainstorming sessions, process development, and tooling development.
• Calibrate, maintain, service, and clean machines and measurement equipment in compliance with the quality system.

Requirements

• 10+ years of direct experience setting up, programming, and operating Star and/or Citizen Swiss-style lathes.
• Experience in machining, tool and die making, or model making; medical device experience is beneficial.
• High school diploma required.
• Ability to use CNC and manual mills, lathes, and EDM machines.
• Creative design skills, including the ability to improve existing designs.
• Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.

Nice to have

• Experience with Esprit, PartMaker, and/or Mastercam.
• Medical device machining or model-making experience.
