Salary: $108,000 - $169,000 yearly

What you will do

• Manage the process for creation and maintenance of invention disclosures and global patent records.
• Oversee the filing, administration, and renewal of the US and international trademark and copyright portfolios.
• Coordinate patentability and Freedom to Operate (FTO) searches with outside counsel and organize inventor meetings.
• Enforce proper trademark use across corporate brochures, websites, and product labels via the Marketing Approval Process (MAP).
• Support the IP budget process, set matter budgets, and generate activity reports for R&D recognition.
• Provide training on invention disclosure and patent processes to R&D and other internal functions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with 8-12 years of related experience.
• Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Libertyville, IL for 4 days/week onsite work.
• Knowledge of domestic and foreign intellectual property practices within a corporate law environment.
• Proficiency in IP database management software, Microsoft Office, and Legal Tracker.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

Nice to have

• 4+ years of specific IP experience.
• Paralegal Certificate.
