Salary: $108,000 - $169,000 yearly

What you will do
- Manage the process for creation and maintenance of invention disclosures and global patent records.
- Oversee the filing, administration, and renewal of the US and international trademark and copyright portfolios.
- Coordinate patentability and Freedom to Operate (FTO) searches with outside counsel and organize inventor meetings.
- Enforce proper trademark use across corporate brochures, websites, and product labels via the Marketing Approval Process (MAP).
- Support the IP budget process, set matter budgets, and generate activity reports for R&D recognition.
- Provide training on invention disclosure and patent processes to R&D and other internal functions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree with 8-12 years of related experience.
- Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Libertyville, IL for 4 days/week onsite work.
- Knowledge of domestic and foreign intellectual property practices within a corporate law environment.
- Proficiency in IP database management software, Microsoft Office, and Legal Tracker.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
Nice to have
- 4+ years of specific IP experience.
- Paralegal Certificate.
