TL;DR
HR Business Partner (Fixed Term 3 Months): Provide proactive, commercially focused HR support to managers and employees across business areas with an accent on employee relations, disciplinary and grievance cases, and industrial relations. Focus on developing relationships with trade unions, driving early resolution of operational issues, and advising on employment law, performance management, and organisational design.
Location: Hybrid in Warrington, UK (WA3 7NS)

What you will do
- Support employees and managers in employee relations, including complex disciplinary, grievance cases, and redundancy processes.
- Promote a positive, inclusive workplace culture aligned with company values.
- Build and maintain relationships with trade unions, contractors, and stakeholders to foster collaborative industrial relations.
- Drive early resolution of operational issues through collaborative practices.
- Provide advice on policy, employment law, performance issues, leadership, and management practices.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of employment law, trade union frameworks, and HR/IR best practices
- Experience working with trade unions, including building relationships with representatives
- Ability to negotiate, implement, and manage collective agreements and workforce arrangements
- Proven experience in employee relations, managing grievances, disciplinaries, capability, and performance issues
- Demonstrated ability to influence and build relationships with stakeholders
- Experience with diverse and transient workforce in a fast-paced environment
- CIPD qualification level 5 or above, or equivalent (desirable)
