TL;DR

Lead HR Business Partner (Education): Translating university strategy into a people agenda to strengthen organizational performance, culture, and employee experience with an accent on strategic workforce planning and change leadership. Focus on designing interventions based on data insight, coaching senior leaders, and leading multi-disciplinary virtual teams.

Location: Hybrid (Milton Keynes). Must be based in the UK and able to attend the Milton Keynes office at least 4-5 times per month.

Salary: £59,966 – £67,468

What you will do

  • Co-create and deliver a people plan aligned with workforce priorities, financial plans, and operating model requirements.
  • Partner with senior leaders as a trusted adviser to provide evidence-based challenge and coaching on complex people matters.
  • Build strategic workforce plans covering capability, capacity, and cost, driving execution through recruitment and mobility.
  • Analyze people data and external benchmarks to diagnose root causes and measure the impact of HR interventions.
  • Lead the people aspects of organizational change, including design, consultation, and adoption of new ways of working.
  • Promote inclusive leadership and equitable practices by removing barriers and improving outcomes.

Requirements

  • Degree in HR, business, law, organizational psychology, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Significant senior-level HR partnering experience in workforce planning, talent, and change management.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in a matrix environment partnering across Centres of Expertise.
  • Strong influencing and coaching skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity and competing priorities.
  • Strategic and commercially aware with strong risk awareness regarding employee relations and policy compliance.
  • Must be contractually aligned to the Milton Keynes office with regular onsite attendance required.

  • CIPD Level 5/7 or equivalent professional qualification.
