What you will do
- Define OFCI equipment scope and validate technical specifications for power and cooling systems in collaboration with design and engineering teams.
- Lead RFQ/RFP processes, conduct technical bid evaluations, and negotiate contracts including performance guarantees and warranties.
- Oversee the procurement and delivery of critical long-lead items such as generators, UPS systems, chillers, and SCADA systems.
- Monitor manufacturing schedules and participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and quality control inspections.
- Develop logistics strategies for oversized equipment, coordinating international shipping and customs clearance.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks while ensuring detailed procurement reporting to project leadership.
Requirements
- Must be based in the United States.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain Management.
- 5+ years of experience in technical procurement or engineering for data centers or mission-critical facilities.
- Proven track record of procuring long-lead, high-reliability OFCI equipment.
- Strong technical understanding of critical power and cooling systems.
- Experience with FATs, commissioning, and contractor coordination.
Nice to have
- Experience with hyperscale or colocation data centers.
- Knowledge of Uptime Institute Tier standards or equivalent reliability frameworks.
- Familiarity with IEC, IEEE, NFPA, NEC, and ASHRAE codes.
