Data Center Strategic Sourcing Lead (Network): Drive development and execution of procurement strategies for network infrastructure powering AI data centers with an accent on end-to-end sourcing for switching, optics, cabling, and connectivity. Focus on negotiating commercial agreements, optimizing supply in constrained markets, and developing global inventory strategies to ensure hardware availability and support scaling goals.

Location: Remote-Friendly, United States. Location-based hybrid policy: expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. Visa sponsorship available, but not guaranteed for every role.

Salary: $365,000 - $435,000 USD

What you will do

• Drive commercial negotiations and Master Service Agreements with network OEMs and connectivity providers.
• Audit procurement schedules, ensure optimal allocation, and drive cost efficiency for high-demand items like optics and switches.
• Implement frameworks to enforce commercial terms and technical specs with data center and network partners.
• Develop global inventory strategy for network gear including warehousing, logistics, and buffer stock.
• Monitor supply chain volatility and execute contingency plans to avoid delays.
• Translate network roadmaps into forecasts, procurement pipelines, and capex planning with Finance.
• Establish RMA workflows and negotiate warranty/SLA terms with vendors.

Requirements

• 7+ years in supply chain management, sourcing, and procurement.
• Track record developing processes for forecasting, planning, and managing network materials/connectivity for data centers.
• Familiarity with data center networking hardware and connectivity (switches, routers, optics, cabling, dark fiber, transit).
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant domain or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• 10+ years in supply chain/sourcing/procurement.
• 5+ years sourcing data center network infrastructure.
• Experience with network OEMs, integrators, optics suppliers, carriers.
• Experience on large-scale network build-outs.
• Leadership and influencing skills.
