Project Accountant

Salary: $75,000 - $90,000 per year

What you will do

• Maintain accurate job-cost records and track labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor charges.
• Monitor budget-to-actual performance and proactively flag financial risks and variances to project managers.
• Prepare and submit timely invoices in accordance with contract requirements and billing documentation.
• Generate project financial reports, including trend analysis, forecasts, and margin tracking.
• Manage accounts receivable by tracking invoice status and following up on overdue payments.
• Maintain audit-ready financial files and recommend improvements to reduce billing cycle errors.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 2–3 years of experience in job-cost accounting and T&M project structures.
• Proficiency in Excel and adaptability to various accounting methods.
• Must be a "U.S. Person" (Citizen, Lawful Permanent Resident, Refugee, or Asylee) per ITAR requirements.
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with field teams, leadership, and vendors.
