Wind Technician (Engineering)

Salary: $45,000 – $90,000 USD

What you will do

• Perform mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical maintenance and repairs on wind turbines.
• Troubleshoot complicated malfunctions on variable pitch and variable speed turbines.
• Document all work, parts used, and time spent via computer-based service reporting.
• Operate and maintain service vehicles and specialized hand tools.
• Lead maintenance crews and mentor lower-level technicians for Level II and III roles.
• Perform balance of plant and switchyard work as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED (required or obtainable within 6 months of employment).
• Ability to climb towers up to 300 feet and work safely in confined spaces.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Demonstrable mechanical aptitude and basic electrical knowledge.
• Ability to work in a wide range of adverse climates and environments.
• Clearway will not sponsor nonimmigrant visas (H-1B, TN, E-3, etc.).

Nice to have

• Previous experience with SAP.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
