Inspection Engineer

TL;DR

Inspection Engineer (Offshore ROV): Support onshore and offshore project preparation for pipeline and structural inspections with an accent on setup of data recording systems, offline editing, and quality control. Focus on safe execution of ROV inspections, real-time video QC, anomaly reporting, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams including Inspectors, Surveyors, and ROV personnel.

Location: Aberdeen, United Kingdom (Offshore, with potential to work 2 days a week from home)

What you will do

• Ensure safe, efficient, and profitable execution of ROV platform and vessel-based pipeline and structural inspections.
• Perform QC of inspection data recording, real-time video data, and complete data sheets accurately.
• Record and report anomalies to coordinators, superintendents, and clients timely based on criteria.
• Assist in project reporting and delivery per hirify.global and client specifications, documenting variations.
• Promote teamwork and communication at worksite, especially during shift handovers.
• Manage computer systems, inspection equipment calibration, and data from third-party sources.

Requirements

• Formal qualifications to minimum HND level in Engineering or IT.
• CSWIP 3.4u or 3.3u certification.
• Offshore experience with ROVs as Inspection Engineer and/or Coordinator in UKCS.
• MS Office experience and good IT skills.
• Ability to understand technical engineering drawings.
• Excellent communication skills and positive attitude.
