Quantity Surveyor (Engineering)

What you will do

• Manage commercial activities on site under the supervision of the Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor.
• Submit and maintain registers for early warning notices, compensation events, and other contractual notifications.
• Prepare compensation event quotations and support contractual programme planning.
• Support applications for payment, valuations, invoicing, and subcontractor account review and certification.
• Administer subcontracts and suppliers, including drafting and negotiating subcontract agreements.
• Support financial timetables, CVRs, internal and client reporting, risk management, and margin improvement.

Requirements

• Previous post-graduate experience in a quantity surveying role.
• HNC, degree, or equivalent qualification in quantity surveying or a related subject.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Mandatory certification to operate on site: CCNSG, CSCS MAPS, or Operatives.

Nice to have

• Experience with NEC3 or NEC4 contracts.
• Experience working for a main contractor or subcontractor.
• Experience in the industrial services or engineering sector.
• Knowledge of best practice, risk management, and change management.
• Membership of an appropriate professional body, such as RICS.
