Senior Software Engineer (AI)

Location: New York, New York, United States

Salary: $175,000–$225,000 base pay per year, with potential performance bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Build and evolve the firm’s internal Agentic AI platform and associated tooling.
• Design AI-powered workflows that continuously analyze market news, security data, SEC filings, emails, and other sources to surface information supporting investment decisions.
• Create agentic AI tools and contribute to the MCP Server, MCP Gateway, and agent evaluation framework.
• Work with product teams and business stakeholders to define features and build AI-powered applications.
• Perform user acceptance testing and iterate on designs and implementations.
• Improve code quality, development lifecycle practices, and the core platform.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, preferably with Python.
• Experience creating and integrating REST APIs and working with event-driven and asynchronous architectures.
• Experience with relational databases such as Postgres and MySQL, and NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB and Elasticsearch.
• Experience with AWS services, Kubernetes-driven deployments, GitHub Actions, and modern CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Passion for using AI as a problem-solving and productivity tool.

Nice to have

• Experience developing agentic AI applications, harnesses, MCP servers, or workflows.
• Experience building AI agents, Retrieval-Augmented Generation pipelines, or agentic tools.
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Datadog.
