Software Engineer (AI/ML Tools)

Location: Pullman, Washington, United States; onsite. US citizenship required.

Salary: $97,700–$144,400 annually

What you will do

• Build, configure, apply, and maintain AI/ML infrastructure and runtimes for internal software developers.
• Maintain systems, deployments, integrations, and hybrid operations frameworks.
• Develop automation harnesses and application integrations for applied AI/ML use cases.
• Connect AI/ML automation with CI/CD, static analysis, DevOps tooling, and other SDLC toolchains.
• Validate deployments and occasionally train or fine-tune models for specific applications.
• Meet with stakeholders and internal customers to identify needs, prioritize work, and provide guidance on AI/ML ecosystems.

Requirements

• Professional experience with Python and pip or uv.
• Familiarity with TypeScript, yarn or npm, Transformers, autoencoders, and classifiers.
• Basic Linux/Unix operations skills.
• Experience working with medium to large codebases and pull-request-driven review workflows.
• Experience maintaining CI/CD pipelines and operations frameworks for functions, scheduled tasks, REST services, or similar systems.
• Familiarity with OIDC or SAML from development and operations perspectives.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Azure and Azure AI Foundry.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, containerd, computer vision models, diffusion models, YOLO, or SAM.
• Experience with Rust and related toolchains.
• Experience with C/C++, LoRA, llama.cpp, sglang, OpenWebUI, MLX LM, or Ollama.
