TL;DR
Workforce Planning Manager (Broadcast Playout): Provide a single trusted view of demand, capacity, skills and readiness for Playout and convert it into fair, predictable rosters with an accent on utilisation efficiency, coverage consistency and freelancer network resilience. Focus on forecasting demand, modeling scenarios for peaks, running KPIs and dashboards, and adopting booking systems and automation.
Location: Hybrid with 3 days a week onsite in Osterley campus (London)

What you will do
- Own demand-supply picture for Playout: forecast demand, map capacity/skills/readiness, surface risks and options
- Design roster rules/patterns for fairness, predictability, coverage; protect breaks and certainty; build/publish rotas to timelines
- Partner with Team Managers on training/assessments; maintain competency coverage
- Model scenarios for peaks/events; agree contingency plans and trade-offs with stakeholders
- Run KPIs/dashboard on utilisation, stability, backfill, coverage, overtime/freelance usage
- Grow/curate freelancer community; handle onboarding, compliance, timesheeting, cost tracking
- Own requirements for booking systems; lead vendor assessment, pilots and adoption
Requirements
- Hands-on roster ownership in broadcast or high-reliability environment
- Proven management of large freelance community (sourcing, relationships, issue resolution)
- Experience onboarding freelancers at pace with compliance
- Ownership of timesheeting/approvals with accurate cost allocation/budget tracking
- Experience specifying/selecting/adopting booking systems and streamlining workflows
- Strong scheduling tool proficiency; produce utilisation/financial reporting
- Familiarity with rate-card governance, vendor frameworks, contract hygiene
- Calm, fair communicator collaborating across operations, content, support
