Location: Hybrid/Office-based (New South Wales, Australia or Makati, Philippines)

What you will do

  • Manage end-to-end payroll for 500+ employees across Australia, UK, Germany, Japan, Philippines, and South Africa.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 4 payroll and compensation specialists based in Manila.
  • Oversee payroll execution across both direct employment and Employer of Record (EOR) models.
  • Ensure strict compliance with local tax, labor, and regulatory requirements across all operating countries.
  • Identify and implement process optimizations and automation to increase payroll scalability and accuracy.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with People, Finance, and Legal teams to ensure data integrity and seamless employee lifecycle processes.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of progressive experience in global payroll and compensation management.
  • Demonstrated experience managing payroll in Australia, UK, Germany, Japan, Philippines, and South Africa.
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of managing remote teams.
  • Deep understanding of international payroll compliance, employment tax, and statutory benefits.
  • Proficiency with Deel, Employment Hero, BambooHR, and advanced Excel.
  • Experience working with EOR providers across multiple jurisdictions.
