Statutory Reporting Accountant (Finance): Preparing annual and interim consolidated group accounts under IFRS and subsidiary accounts under UK GAAP (FRS 101) for a FTSE 250 investment platform. Focus on managing the external audit process, monitoring accounting standard changes, and ensuring accuracy of technical accounting adjustments.

Location: Hybrid (Manchester, UK). Minimum 50% of working time per month spent in the office.

What you will do

• Prepare annual and interim Group consolidated accounts under IFRS.
• Produce annual subsidiary financial statements under FRS 101.
• Act as the primary contact for external auditors during interim and annual audits.
• Monitor changes in accounting standards and advise on their potential impact on the Group.
• Handle month-end technical accounting adjustments and supporting schedules.
• Collaborate with finance colleagues to resolve technical queries across the business.

Requirements

• Qualified ACA or ACCA certification.
• Experience in financial reporting within a listed company or external audit.
• Strong working knowledge of IFRS and FRS 101.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Analytical mindset with a high attention to detail.
• Must be based in or able to commute to the Manchester office.
