Event Manager - Orange County

TL;DR

Event Manager (Candlelight Concerts): Act as onsite point of contact for weekly candlelit classical music concerts in Orange County, managing staff, logistics, supplies, and guest experience with an accent on event execution, team coordination, and reporting. Focus on handling high-pressure operations, inventory tracking, and ensuring smooth openings/closings.

Location: Onsite in Orange, California. Expectation to work weekend nights, max 29 hours/week.

Rate: $25/hour

What you will do

• Act as main onsite contact for events and staff, communicating with hirify.global Originals manager
• Manage staff roster, schedules, training, and agency coordination
• Drive supplies to/from venues, manage inventory and printing needs
• Handle guest lists, opening/closing remarks, and customer service
• Provide weekly reports on pre/post-event status and feedback
• Occasionally assist with venue walk-throughs

Requirements

• 1+ years experience in event management or relevant degree (preferred)
• Passion for live music and event organization
• Exceptional customer service and team leadership skills
• Strong problem-solving in pressured environments
• Personal laptop required
• Valid driver’s license strongly preferred

Nice to have

• Knowledge of AV and PA systems
