What you will do

• Lead, coach, and grow a team of 6-10+ software and ML platform engineers.
• Define and evolve the ML Platform strategy and roadmap, balancing delivery with long-term investments.
• Evolve ML and LLM platform architecture to enable consistent production patterns and best practices.
• Improve reliability, observability, and cost efficiency of ML training and inference workloads.
• Remain hands-on by participating in design reviews, code reviews, and prototyping critical paths.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, ML platform, or distributed systems.
• 2+ years of experience in a formal people leadership role.
• Demonstrated experience launching and operating production AI/ML systems at scale.
• Strong proficiency in Python (or similar backend languages like Go, Java, or Scala).
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Kubernetes) and data-intensive systems (Spark, Ray).
• Must be based in or able to work from the Boston office in a hybrid capacity.
