About the Role

You will lead and develop a team of data engineers, provide technical coaching and mentorship, and take ownership of the quality and delivery of critical data services. You will manage end-to-end availability and performance, resolve production incidents, and drive work based on measurable KPIs. You will design data models, build and maintain ETL pipelines that process petabytes of data in real time, deploy and monitor large database clusters, and collaborate with data scientists, backend engineers, and product managers to implement new data capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years building distributed system architecture from design to production
• Strong programming skills in Python
• Proficiency in SQL or SparkSQL
• Experience with data stores such as ClickHouse, ElasticSearch, Postgres, Redis, and Neo4j
• Experience with pipeline and workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow, DBT, Luigi, Azkaban, or Storm
• Experience with data processing and streaming technologies such as Spark, Kafka, or Flink
• Experience with deployment and monitoring infrastructure such as Docker, Terraform, Kubernetes, and Datadog
• Experience loading, querying, and transforming large data sets
• Ability to leverage modern AI/ML tools and workflows

• Design data models for optimal storage and sub-second query latency
• Deploy and monitor large performant database clusters
• Collaborate cross-functionally to design and implement data models
