What you will do
- Design and operate the Compliance Management System (CMS) for lending products, starting with Send Now, Pay Later (SNPL).
- Translate regulatory requirements (TILA, ECOA, FCRA, UDAAP) into clear product requirements and control logic.
- Partner with Product and Engineering to ensure compliant disclosures, loan agreements, and customer flows by design.
- Oversee underwriting policies and automated decisioning frameworks to ensure fair lending and lack of prohibited bias.
- Design and execute compliance monitoring and testing programs across underwriting, disclosures, servicing, and collections.
- Manage the complaint framework and act as the primary contact for regulatory exams and audits (e.g., Texas OCCC).
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in consumer lending compliance, fintech, or regulated financial services.
- Strong knowledge of TILA/Regulation Z, ECOA/Regulation B, FCRA, and UDAAP.
- Experience building or operating a Compliance Management System (CMS) in a regulated environment.
- Ability to translate regulations into technical product and engineering requirements.
- Must be based in the United States.
Nice to have
- Experience with Texas Finance Code Chapter 342 and state lending frameworks.
- Spanish fluency strongly preferred.
- Systems-thinking approach to controls and a builder's mindset.
