What you will do

• Design signal processing for custom software defined radio hardware, including channelization, equalization, and carrier synchronization.
• Collaborate with FPGA developers to implement and test signal processing on radio hardware.
• Model end-to-end radio systems from earth to space and back.
• Drive radio architecture trade studies and optimize the system for maximum performance across various global use cases.

Requirements

• US Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Residency, or Refugee/Asylee Status required.
• Strong fundamentals in signals and systems (transforms, filters, aliasing, discrete domains).
• Strong knowledge of digital communications (modulation, coding, synchronization, channel capacity).
• Experience in software development for DSP, MCU, and/or FPGA, including scripting languages.
• Familiarity with analog concepts such as amplifiers, analog filters, and compression.
• Experience operating signal generators, signal analyzers, network analyzers, and oscilloscopes.

Nice to have

• Experience with software defined radios (SDR).
• Proficiency in Python and GNU Radio.
• Experience with FPGA development or embedded C.
