AV Field Engineer (Audio Visual)

Salary: $85,000 - $115,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Review and interpret AV system drawings and technical documentation.
• Perform field engineering and commissioning for audio, video, control, and broadcast systems.
• Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostics of AV networking platforms, DSPs, and control systems.
• Collaborate with clients and internal engineering teams to prioritize and resolve technical field challenges.
• Work with installation teams and third-party contractors to implement technical solutions.
• Coordinate with customer technical teams to ensure project timelines are met.

Requirements

• 3-5+ years of experience in technical AV roles with a focus on field engineering and system diagnostics.
• Proficiency in configuring networked AV systems, network parameters, and loading DSP and control system files.
• Willingness to obtain CTS-I certification within 1 year of employment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills for a client-facing role.
• Availability for travel to New York City, Washington, DC, and other US cities (10-35%).
• Ability to work off-hours occasionally to accommodate customer schedules.
