What you will do
- Prepare weekly and bi-weekly payrolls, managing direct deposits, tax setups, and garnishments.
- Own the payroll inquiry inbox, providing timely and accurate responses to employees.
- Upload income withholding orders (IWO) and coordinate benefit/compensation file uploads.
- Generate and provide ad hoc payroll reports for reconciliation purposes.
- Collaborate with IT Support to test program changes within the payroll system.
- Develop and maintain SharePoint and Teams sites to improve communication between the payroll department and coordinators.
Requirements
- Typically two years of experience or a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Intermediate knowledge of payroll taxes and regulations.
- Proficiency in data entry and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to pass pre-employment onboarding requirements, including background and drug screens.
- Must be based in or able to work from Overland Park, KS, US.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of General Ledger Systems and specific Payroll Systems (e.g., ADP).
- Strong skills in organizing, planning, and problem-solving.
- Experience dealing with ambiguity and written communications.
