What you will do

• Own end-to-end delivery of bi-weekly U.S. and Canadian payrolls, including regular and off-cycle runs.
• Review, validate, and approve payrolls to ensure accurate earnings, deductions, taxes, and net pay.
• Serve as the primary subject matter expert for multi-state U.S. and Canadian payroll tax operations.
• Oversee payroll funding, journal entries, general ledger postings, and financial reconciliations.
• Manage internal and external audits by preparing documentation and implementing corrective actions.
• Drive process improvements and automation to increase operational accuracy and scalability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Proven expertise as a payroll tax SME for multi-state U.S. and Canadian payroll operations.
• Significant experience processing complex multi-state U.S. payrolls; Canadian experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of payroll systems (e.g., ADP) and time and attendance platforms.
• Ability to operate effectively within a regulated, highly controlled environment.
