What you will do
- Own core backend systems from architecture through building and scaling.
- Lead the design of APIs and platforms powering financial workflows.
- Drive performance, reliability, and scalability in real-time systems.
- Set technical direction across data, integrations, and infrastructure.
- Manage engineers while remaining deeply involved in technical decisions.
Requirements
- Experience leading backend teams or owning major technical initiatives.
- Strong systems background in distributed systems and system design.
- Proven ability to drive outcomes end-to-end rather than just managing delivery.
- Ability to operate effectively at both the system and product levels.
- Comfort making decisions in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
- Must be based in New York City, San Jose, or San Francisco
