Salary: $178,000 - $228,000 CAD

What you will do

  • Define the technical and modeling strategy for fraud detection to reduce losses and optimize customer experience.
  • Lead a team of ML engineers through the full ML lifecycle, from experimentation to production deployment and monitoring.
  • Drive the adoption of advanced modeling approaches, including representation learning and transformer-based methods.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Fraud Analytics, Risk, and Engineering to integrate models into decisioning systems.
  • Coach and develop engineering talent, fostering a culture of technical excellence and ownership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
  • 8+ years of industry experience, including 3+ years managing engineers.
  • Experience with modern ML approaches: deep learning, transformers, and gradient-boosted trees.
  • Proven ability to deliver end-to-end ML solutions in production environments.
  • Strong engineering fundamentals and experience with scalable systems and data pipelines.
  • Must be based in Canada.
