What you will do

• Architect and deliver scalable, mission-critical brokerage systems using gRPC microservices and REST APIs.
• Advance the core platform to support multi-region, multi-currency, and global regulatory contexts.
• Lead, coach, and develop engineers in Singapore, managing priorities and career growth.
• Collaborate with Product, Compliance, and local stakeholders on regional requirements.
• Manage operational excellence, including incident response, monitoring, and alerting for regional stacks.
• Partner with recruiting to support regional hiring and interview processes.

Requirements

• Strong backend engineering experience in Go or equivalent and distributed systems at scale.
• Staff-level technical impact, including architecture ownership and cross-team leadership.
• Proven people leadership experience, including 1:1s, performance management, and delivery.
• Professional exposure to financial services, fintech, or brokerage (trading lifecycle, settlements, regulation).
• Excellent English communication skills for interaction with regional and global stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience within the Singapore or APAC regulatory and market context.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes, cloud platforms (GCP/AWS), and event-driven design.
• Active presence in the open-source community.
