What you will do

• Own the entire employee lifecycle for a significant portion of the engineering team, including hiring senior ICs, mentoring, and performance management.
• Guide the team through the execution of large full-stack initiatives, ensuring granular project breakdown and clear communication.
• Improve the EPD (Engineering, Product, Design) leadership layer and project management hygiene to enhance cross-functional execution.
• Collaborate with Product and Design leadership to influence the roadmap and balance technical debt with feature delivery.
• Champion a culture of engineering excellence and integrate modern AI tools into the development workflow.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work hybridly in New York, Denver, or San Francisco.
• 2–5+ years of engineering management experience.
• 3–5 years of experience as a high-performing individual contributor.
• Deep understanding of software architecture and the ability to guide teams through complex technical trade-offs.
• Demonstrated track record of hiring, coaching, and solving problems through a people-first approach.

Nice to have

• Experience in agriculture or building financial/fintech products.
• Experience with the tech stack: Typescript, React, React Native, Next.js, and GCP.
