Site Environmental, Health and Safety Compliance Engineer

Site Environmental, Health and Safety Compliance Engineer (Manufacturing): Implementation of site EHS programs and management systems with an accent on hazard identification, risk assessment, regulatory compliance, and data reporting. Location: Onsite in Chatsworth, CA (remote candidates will not be considered). Must have ability to access U.S. export-controlled information.

Salary: $125,000–$155,000 annually (Chatsworth, CA)

What you will do

• Collect, calculate, and submit environmental and safety regulatory reports while monitoring compliance procedures.
• Identify hazards, analyze risks, and develop procedures and audit programs to mitigate them.
• Create, maintain, and deliver EHS training programs for applicable personnel.
• Interpret regulations, propose compliant processes, and guide employees on solutions and improvements.
• Monitor and update permit requirements, reporting, and EHS systems for ongoing compliance.
• Support emergency response, lead teams when needed, and interface with regulatory agencies on inspections and corrective actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, safety, chemical engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive EHS experience in manufacturing or production environments.
• Experience identifying hazards, assessing risks, interpreting EHS data, writing and implementing programs, conducting training, and performing gap assessments and root cause investigations.
• Ability to work onsite in Chatsworth, CA and access U.S. export-controlled information.

Nice to have

• EHS certifications (CHMM, CSP, ASP, etc.).
• Hands-on experience in manufacturing shop floor environments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and training software like Articulate or PowerPoint.
