TL;DR

Humanitarian Manager: Design and deliver rapid cash responses to crises globally with an accent on operational excellence, risk assessments, and program execution across multiple countries. Focus on coordinating emergency deployments, managing field operations, and translating insights into donor materials.

Location: Remote (global). Salary benchmark provided based on your country during hiring. Unable to sponsor employment visas in the US or UK. Up to 50-60% travel required, including to insecure areas on short notice.

Base Salary: $94,700 (US); £61,200 (UK); $61,900 (Kenya). Bonus: 10% target. Benefits stipend varies by country.

What you will do

  • Coordinate design, planning, and execution of emergency cash response operations across countries, applying playbooks and meeting timelines.
  • Conduct operational diligence, feasibility, and risk assessments for disaster responses.
  • Track program metrics, liaise with partners/vendors, and manage tech systems like Salesforce, CommCare, Jira.
  • Manage day-to-day field activities, staff tasking, and provide coaching to junior/surge teams.
  • Support fundraising by documenting field insights and preparing donor materials.
  • Represent in forums and contribute to strategy projects advancing global response capacity.

Requirements

  • Alignment with hirify.global values: emotional intelligence, problem solving, project management, follow-through, fostering inclusivity.
  • 3-5+ years in problem solving, team management, or business development, including humanitarian/emergency experience.
  • Analytical mindset for prioritization and structuring ambiguous problems.
  • Strong project management for multiple workstreams and high quality bar.
  • Technical skills in data analysis and learning new tools/platforms.
  • Strong communication for speaking, writing, presenting, negotiating.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new contexts and build systems in dynamic situations.

Nice to have

  • Fluent in French, Portuguese, Arabic, or other languages.
  • Prior experience with humanitarian cash-based programming.
  • Strong partnership and relationship management background.
