What you will do

• Lead a team of nine software and data engineers to build cloud-native, automation-first data solutions at scale.
• Develop a next-gen Data Platform emphasizing metadata-driven, event-driven ingestion and self-healing capabilities.
• Own Databricks Lakehouse platform operations, ensuring 99.99% uptime for Tier-1 services and optimizing costs.
• Integrate AI capabilities, including MCPs, APIs, and CLIs, to inject company context into AI models.
• Drive SLOs, SLAs, RCAs, and KPIs while implementing intelligent monitoring and predictive scaling.
• Collaborate with data scientists and AI/ML teams to implement a "shift left" philosophy for data ownership.

Requirements

• B.S. in Computer Science or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience writing production-grade code in a modern programming language.
• 3+ years of people management experience.
• Proven experience designing, maintaining, and operating an always-on, cloud data platform.
• Hands-on experience with Spark, Databricks, Palantir, Kafka, Flink, or ML Flow.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or lawfully admitted refugee/asylee.

Nice to have

• Experience integrating AI-powered search, Knowledge Graphs, LLMs (AWS Bedrock), and RAG architectures.
• Strong expertise in metadata-driven automation for data ingestion, quality, and governance.
• Deep knowledge of access control frameworks such as IAM, RBAC, ABAC, and Zero Trust.
