Director of Brand & Advocacy (SaaS): Define and evolve integrated brand amplification strategy across social media, PR, and customer advocacy channels with an accent on growing awareness, share of voice, and brand affinity. Focus on leading teams, scaling programs, building customer champions, and activating employees as brand voices while partnering cross-functionally for compelling campaigns and data-driven optimization.

Location: Remote (US only). Authorized to work lawfully in the United States required; no immigration sponsorship. Not eligible in Alaska, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Dakota, West Virginia. Occasional travel for events.

Salary: $186,529–$279,793 USD (tiered by metropolitan area: Tier 1 SF/NYC, Tier 2 other major cities, Tier 3 elsewhere)

What you will do

  • Define 1–3 year brand amplification strategy across social, PR, and advocacy, translating priorities into coordinated programs.
  • Lead and develop team (Social Media Lead, Customer Advocacy Lead, PR Contractor), set goals, coach, and advocate for resources.
  • Oversee social media strategy, content pillars, calendars, and execution for reach and engagement.
  • Guide PR contractor on narrative, media opportunities, and alignment with business goals.
  • Build customer advocacy programs for reviews, testimonials, case studies, and community engagement.
  • Activate employees as brand voices via partnerships with Internal Comms and EE teams.
  • Partner cross-functionally for content/campaigns and establish KPIs to measure impact.

Requirements

  • 15+ years in brand/comms/marketing, 3+ years director-level leading teams
  • Track record scaling brand strategies across social and advocacy, directing PR partners
  • Experience leading direct reports and contractors, building high-performing teams
  • Deep B2B social expertise (LinkedIn, X/Twitter), content development
  • Built/scaled customer advocacy/reference programs
  • Data-driven with KPIs and insights for decisions
  • Authorized to work in US; no sponsorship

  • Familiarity with advocacy platforms (Influitive, Khoros)
