What you will do

• Manage and develop a distributed team of Alloy engineers, providing feedback and supporting career growth.
• Drive closer collaboration with the OpenTelemetry collector community and resolve technical roadblocks.
• Partner with go-to-market, product, and engineering leadership to integrate Alloy into the Grafana Cloud user experience.
• Guide projects from ideation through planning, execution, and post-launch to ensure high-quality results.
• Foster a psychologically safe environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate across team boundaries to solve complex customer problems.

Requirements

• Domain knowledge in observability and OpenTelemetry.
• Experience managing autonomous engineering teams in a remote environment.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems principles, including scalability and fault tolerance.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across different time zones and cultures.
• Deep customer focus and the ability to align stakeholders.
• Comfort with AI-assisted tooling and agentic development.
