What you will do

• Lead and hire a team of engineers building innovative distributed systems for Workers KV.
• Shape product features and improve system performance to ensure global low-latency data storage.
• Plan and oversee the execution of engineering goals to deliver with predictability.
• Design and build scalable, developer-loved APIs.
• Mentor team members and manage their professional development.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Lisbon or London
• 4+ years of recent professional experience with TypeScript or Go.
• Proven track record of leading, hiring, and onboarding engineering teams.
• Deep understanding of CS fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms.
• Expertise in web technologies, including HTTP, JavaScript, and WebAssembly.
• Experience navigating ambiguity and delivering previously unbuilt systems.

Nice to have

• Experience building high-performance distributed systems and serverless platforms.
• Deep knowledge of Linux/UNIX systems, kernels, or networking.
• Contributions to large-scale open-source projects.
• Experience with distributed storage and cache architectures.
