What you will do

• Create and manage the team's roadmap in collaboration with Product and Domain heads, balancing innovation with stability.
• Oversee the project backlog and delivery pipeline, ensuring quality, security, and reliability of features.
• Lead and mentor engineers, fostering a high-trust environment and driving both individual and team performance.
• Ensure operational excellence of existing observability offerings to maintain maximum uptime for customers.
• Collaborate directly with customers to resolve escalated support issues and translate their needs into product features.
• Drive product differentiation by ideating and developing innovative observability tools to fuel growth.

Requirements

• Proven track record of leading diverse engineering teams to successfully deliver software products.
• Extensive experience with observability concepts at scale, including a deep understanding of SLAs, SLOs, and SLIs.
• Strong knowledge of database fundamentals (OLAP vs. OLTP) and experience designing distributed systems in cloud environments.
• Hands-on programming background (typically 5+ years) and people leadership experience (typically 2+ years).
• Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
• Excellent communication skills in English for direct engagement with customers and stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with ClickHouse specifically regarding logs, metrics, and OpenTelemetry.
