Food Safety Associate

Location: Field Operations, Seattle, Washington, United States; onsite work in the hirify.global Commissary.

Pay range: $21.30 USD per hour.

What you will do

• Monitor food production and verify compliance with food safety regulations.
• Perform refrigeration, chemical concentration, temperature, labeling, and thermometer calibration checks.
• Communicate kitchen hygiene and sanitation requirements to chefs and employees.
• Conduct daily facility compliance walks, corrective actions, department audits, and inspection-readiness checks.
• Collaborate with Kitchen Operations, Supply Chain, Maintenance, Operations, and Facilities to resolve food safety and quality issues.
• Collect and report data on cooler function and sanitary transport.

Requirements

• Experience in a high-compliance food processing facility operating under USDA or FDA requirements.
• Experience working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong professional communication skills and the ability to explain food safety concepts in plain language.
• Ability to work independently and complete assigned duties without direct supervision.
• Proficiency with G Suite or Google Workspace.
• Availability to work 30–40 hours per week.
