Salary: $80,000 - $110,000

What you will do

• Develop and execute SEO and GEO strategies across digital properties for breaking news, investigations, evergreen content, live coverage, and streaming.
• Embed SEO and AI-discovery best practices into editorial workflows to maximize visibility in traditional search, AI answer engines, zero-click SERPs, and social surfaces.
• Optimize metadata, tagging, schema, internal linking, site architecture, Core Web Vitals, and recirculation modules with product, design, and engineering teams.
• Leverage traffic trends, keyword research, search intent, and competitive analysis to inform editorial strategy and coverage priorities.
• Build measurement frameworks, dashboards, and AI automation for tagging, clustering, and workflow efficiency.
• Lead A/B testing, algorithm update responses, cross-functional education on SEO/AI trends, and experimentation for headlines and content modules.

Requirements

• 4+ years of SEO experience, preferably in digital media, news, entertainment, or streaming.
• Deep knowledge of technical, on-page, off-page SEO, structured data, semantic search, and E-E-A-T principles.
• Experience optimizing for AI-driven discovery like Google AI Overviews, featured snippets, and generative search.
• Proficiency with Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Looker Studio.
• Strong data analysis, reporting, and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Proven organic traffic growth in large content-driven environments; familiarity with schema markup and rich results.

• Experience with enterprise CMS platforms.
• Understanding of video/streaming SEO for YouTube, OTT, connected TV.
