What you will do

• Provide technical leadership to a global team of software engineers to ensure on-time and high-quality software delivery.
• Lead technical design, architecture, and implementation strategies for highly scalable distributed systems.
• Manage project objectives, scope, resources, and risks using Agile ceremonies.
• Guide career development through 1:1s, performance evaluations, and mentorship.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and software quality engineers.
• Optimize software development processes with a focus on quality and innovation.

Requirements

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Must be based in the USA.
• 2+ years of proven track record building and managing high-performance engineering teams.
• 8+ years of software development experience using Java or similar languages.
• Experience in and aptitude for leading distributed remote teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in biotech or another regulated industry.
• Experience creating software for processing Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) data.
