What you will do

• Define and execute the enterprise data management strategy and operating model across R&D, Lab Ops, and Commercial domains.
• Chair the AI & Data Governance Council to drive decision-making and accountability between legal, security, and engineering.
• Build and drive the adoption of 360° master/reference datasets to serve as the organization's source of truth.
• Develop an AI use case risk management framework (RMF) aligned with HIPAA, CLIA, FDA, and GDPR.
• Translate governance policies into technical implementations within ETL pipelines, CI/CD workflows, and model registries.
• Establish and enforce vendor evaluation frameworks for assessing third-party AI/ML tools and platforms.

Requirements

• 15+ years in Data or AI governance, with at least 7+ years in leadership roles.
• Must be based in the USA.
• Deep understanding of healthcare regulatory frameworks including HIPAA, CLIA, FDA, GDPR, and the EU AI Act.
• Experience with LLM/GenAI governance implementations such as prompt logging, bias testing, and guardrails.
• Proven track record of building enterprise-wide governance councils and stewardship networks.
• Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.

Nice to have

• Certifications in data governance, privacy, or risk management (e.g., DAMA CDMP, CIPP, CRISC).
• Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in Computer Science, AI/ML, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience embedding governance directly into code, pipelines, and registries.
