Business Analyst (Government/Healthcare)

TL;DR

Business Analyst (Government/Healthcare): Analyzing and refining business requirements for the Department of Veterans Affairs' fiscal and human resource systems with an accent on requirements management and stakeholder engagement. Location: Remote (US), but must be willing to travel occasionally to VA sites in Washington, D.C.

Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 a year

What you will do

• Analyze system requirements and business processes to implement software solutions.
• Develop comprehensive user stories and functional specifications to meet business needs.
• Lead integration efforts to ensure software and systems are fully compatible across multiple platforms.
• Collaborate with project managers and architects to align solutions with long-term business goals.
• Conduct stakeholder meetings to gather technical requirements and maintain process documentation.
• Facilitate communication between organizational units and lead Agile ceremonies including backlog grooming and sprint planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, IT, or related field (or 8+ years of relevant experience).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis.
• Experience leading and managing complex projects in enterprise environments.
• Proficiency in Jira, GitHub, ServiceNow, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
• Must be based in the US and willing to travel occasionally to Washington, D.C.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of VA security and compliance standards (FISMA, NIST, HIPAA).
• Experience with the VA VIP Lean-Agile framework.
