TL;DR
Momentum Subject Matter Expert (SME) (Momentum Financials): Leading requirements validation and modernization of Momentum Financials deployment for VA's complex financial management environment with an accent on federal standards, internal controls, and Scaled Agile practices. Focus on interpreting business requirements, configuring financial processes, and advising on implementation approaches leveraging baseline functionality.
Location: Remote (US), occasional travel to Washington, DC or Austin, TX may be required. Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance required.
Salary: $150,000 - $180,000 a year

What you will do
- Lead requirements validation sessions with VA teams, business users, and SMEs to gather user stories, features, and roadmap.
- Interpret business requirements for financial and acquisition systems, providing technical direction for Momentum implementation.
- Assist in translating requirements into test cases and advise stakeholders on solutions using Momentum baseline functionality.
- Configure Momentum for processes like Budget Formulation to Execution, Procure to Pay, Record to Report, and Reimbursable Agreements.
- Coordinate interface requirements and participate in system integrator meetings for deployable product implementation.
- Provide senior expertise and guidance to project leadership, team members, customers, and executives.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, or similar (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years supporting Momentum or similar Financial Management software at large federal agency; 7+ years Momentum-specific; 3+ years with senior federal clients
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance
- Occasional travel to Washington, DC or Austin, TX
Nice to have
- Experience with Department of Veterans Affairs or Veterans Health Administration
- Leading meetings with senior federal executives in financial/acquisitions roles
- PMP, PMI-ACP, or SAFe Agilist certification
- Experience in Agile/SAFe environment
