Power & Utilities Market Leader (Environmental Engineering): Develop, oversee, and manage complex environmental engineering and remediation projects for major utility clients with an accent on business development, regulatory permitting, and multi-state practice expansion. Location: Remote in the Western United States. Willingness to travel and conduct field work as needed. Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

What you will do
- Develop new projects, clients, and business initiatives, including client and program management.
- Identify and pursue opportunities with new clients and lead key pursuit efforts.
- Recruit, supervise, mentor staff, and provide technical guidance.
- Prepare proposals, budgets, contracts, permits, and technical reports.
- Oversee technical aspects of projects like regulatory permitting, site assessments, investigations, remedial design, action, and closure.
- Manage linear construction projects and substations for utility clients, coordinate with stakeholders, and stay updated on regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, civil engineering, geology, hydrogeology, or related field.
- 15+ years in project management and environmental permitting for utility clients involving regulatory agencies.
- Ability to bridge multiple offices and disciplines for multi-state practice.
- Proficiency in software for data analysis, modeling, design, and project management.
- Knowledge of federal, state, local environmental laws; scientific study, investigation, and analytical techniques.
- Valid driver’s license, clean record, willingness to travel and do field work.
- Core competency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Nice to have
- Master’s degree or higher in relevant field.
- PE, PG license, or certifications like PLS, GISP, Certified Hydrographer.
- Experience in power/energy, environmental, coastal, marine, infrastructure projects.
- Background in data visualization, predictive modeling, AI in geomatics.
- Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and in teams.
