Project Manager, Data Operations (EDI)

Location: On-site in Tempe, Arizona, United States

Salary: $84,000–$100,000 base salary per year, depending on location, skills, and experience.

What you will do

• Manage end-to-end delivery of data operations projects, including requirements gathering, file specifications, execution, and monitoring.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound EDI connections for eligibility, claims, accumulators, COB, and group files.
• Work with account managers, implementation managers, clients, benefits partners, healthcare providers, payors, and internal data operations teams.
• Facilitate benefits-related change management and resolve integration issues with internal and external partners.
• Define project scope, objectives, success criteria, milestones, and KPIs with business leaders, data scientists, engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Manage risks, vendor coordination, data quality, reporting, and continuous process improvement.

Requirements

• Completed B.S./M.S. in Healthcare Administration, Project Management, or a relevant equivalent field.
• 5–9 years of experience as a business analyst, project manager, implementation manager, engineer, EDI specialist, or in a related medical insurance role.
• Experience coordinating integration discussions, documenting requirements, managing testing, and performing impact assessments.
• Knowledge of EDI and ANSI 5010 transactions, including 837, 835, 834, and 270/271.
• Experience with data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Tableau, or Power BI, plus JIRA, Confluence, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, facilitation, negotiation, organizational, and time-management skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of the healthcare and third-party administrator industry.
• Experience with file transfer processes, eligibility, claims, accumulators, and healthcare data operations.
