Sr. Project Manager (Healthcare)

Location: Chicago, Illinois; hybrid schedule with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.

Salary: $92,700–$167,500 annual base pay, plus eligibility for an annual incentive bonus.

What you will do

• Lead large, complex projects or programs with multiple sub-projects across the claims portfolio, Medicaid market, or value improvement initiatives.
• Own end-to-end delivery, including project scope, schedule, dependencies, budget, forecasts, risks, and changes.
• Drive the design, development, and implementation of strategic business and IT projects.
• Coordinate project teams, leads, stakeholders, and leaders in a matrix environment while removing delivery barriers.
• Monitor delivered value, identify efficiency and cost-saving opportunities, and manage customer expectations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of project management experience, or at least 7 years of project management experience.
• Experience delivering and managing large or complex projects using project management methodologies such as PMBOK.
• Experience tracking project finances, monitoring budgets, managing schedules, creating critical-path plans, and balancing competing priorities.
• Strong negotiation, conflict management, communication, facilitation, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience across the full software development lifecycle, from inception and development through testing, production deployment, and maintenance.
• Regular in-person attendance at the designated Chicago facility is required.

Nice to have

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Healthcare industry knowledge and HCSC experience.
• Agile methodology experience, technical acumen, and comfort working with senior management.
• Experience with Plainview and Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Project.
