Scientific Project Manager, Data and Informatics Solutions (Bioinformatics)

Location: Fully remote within the United States; reporting location is remote.

Salary: $105,000–$125,000 per year

What you will do

• Serve as the primary client contact for data and analysis components of oncology programs.
• Scope data, bioinformatics, and analysis deliverables with Business Development and clients.
• Coordinate Data Engineering, Bioinformatics, Computational R&D, and other internal teams from onboarding through delivery.
• Monitor project progress, organize program reviews, and communicate updates to clients.
• Perform quality control on outgoing data, coordinate transfers, and maintain supporting documentation.
• Support pre-sales discussions, recognize revenue through Salesforce, and identify follow-on opportunities.

Requirements

• Advanced scientific knowledge of preclinical research platforms and oncology research.
• Bioinformatics expertise with multi-omic and multimodal biological datasets; hands-on experience with RNA-seq and whole exome sequencing is required.
• Knowledge of in vivo oncology models, including Xenograft and PDX models.
• At least five years of experience in translational or preclinical research, data delivery, or a similar client-facing role.
• Ph.D. or M.S. in bioinformatics, computational biology, genomics, or a related quantitative life science is preferred.
• English communication skills, Python and/or R scripting, Linux command-line experience, and cloud data handling knowledge are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with proteomics data.
• Understanding of preclinical drug development.
• Experience with AWS, S3, Salesforce or another CRM, Jira, and Confluence.
