What you will do

• Own and operate UK network infrastructure, ensuring high availability across POPs, transit, peering, and data center connectivity
• Support hirify.global European backbone for stability and evolution of multi-country ISP network
• Lead network design, scaling, lifecycle management, capacity planning, upgrades, and migrations
• Drive routing and interconnection strategy with BGP policy, traffic engineering, IP transit, and peering
• Act as senior escalation point for complex incidents in routing, switching, and physical infrastructure
• Lead and mentor small team of Network Engineers, collaborate with teams and vendors
• Improve network architecture, operations, resilience, observability, automation, and cost efficiency

Requirements

• 10+ years in Network Engineering, 3+ years senior/leadership; right to work in UK required
• Proven ISP/hosting/service provider experience designing/operating core networks
• Hands-on BGP in production (policy, traffic engineering, default-free zone), IP transit/peering
• Expert TCP/IP, OSI; OSPF/IS-IS; Juniper MX/QFX/EX (multi-vendor ok)
• Experience with MPLS, EVPN-VXLAN, DDoS mitigation, NetFlow/IPFIX, IPv6
• Optical networking, vendor management, troubleshooting carrier/DC issues
• High ownership, collaboration, communication, mentoring skills
